Un ragazzo passa a prendere la propria ragazza. Escono insieme, nella pioggia. La ragazza ha tanti dubbi, cerca delle risposte. Il ragazzo, scoraggiato le dice di guardarsi intorno: “Non c’è nessuno altro qui, tesoro, nessuno da biasimare / Nessuno da accusare…siamo solo tu ed io e la pioggia.” Dio viene chiamato in causa, per dare quelle risposte che nessun altro può dare, per spiegare perché il mondo è diventato quello che è, per capire cosa si può fare: “Dio ha il telefono staccato, tesoro, ma risponderebbe, se potesse?”
. Il ritornello esprime la speranza: “Se Dio manda i suoi angeli / Andrà tutto a posto?”. Bono definisce questa canzone (che già esisteva ai tempi di Zooropa) un “gospel fantascientifico”: “E’ una canzone stupenda, è intrisa di speranza come tutto l’album”. Anche The Edge ne è entusiasta definendola un “country hip-hop, dalla bellezza accecante”.
