All along the watchover
L’11 Novembre ’87 gli U2 decidono di tenere un concerto gratuito sul rimorchio di un camion in uno spazio aperto a San Francisco. Il primo pezzo che esegue la band è una versione rozza della canzone di Bob Dylan. Gli U2 non sembrano conoscere bene gli accordi della canzone quanto Bono ne conosce il testo, e ci sono alcuni sorprendenti momenti di mancanza di coesione musicale. I primi trenta secondi vennro tagliati e reicisi in studio da Edge. Bono in occasione di quella canzone si beccò una multa per aver scritto una frase sul monumento della piazza. Conoscendo le circostanze in cui fu effettuata la registrazione, si può comprendere il motivo di un'esecuzione tanto spoglia e priva di originalità, subito corretta nel successivo "Lovetown Tour".
